Life Skills Plus (LS+)

The Life Skills Plus (LS+) Program empowers young people to become safe, self-reliant, and empowered individuals and citizens.

LS+ aims to achieve the following outcomes:

  • Children and young people survive and develop. Children receive basic needs such as food, shelter, education and medical care.
  • Young people meaningfully participate in their communities. Young people are organized and trained to actively participate in their communities.
  • Young people effectively manage the challenges of everyday life, perform well at their jobs, and make well-informed decisions about their reproductive health. Through various training activities, young people are equipped with essential life, employability, and reproductive health knowledge and skills.
  • Partner organizations have improved internal systems and services. With more robust internal systems and services, partner organizations can better nurture and support the children, young people, and families in their care.

In addition to supporting direct services to youth, we also provide LS+ partner organizations with holistic capacity building—by conducting technical trainings and enhancing partner resources. Consuelo also contributes to their organizational development, facilitates knowledge transfer, and provides operational support to enhance overall program delivery, expand impact on children and communities, and ensure overall program sustainability.
