Who we are
Renew hope to those who have lost it and give hope to those who never had it.
Promote the well-being of at-risk children, women, and families in the Philippines and Hawai’i and to prevent and treat their abuse, neglect, and exploitation. We do this through innovative and effective strategies and services that engage and empower individuals, families, and communities.
Consuelo Foundation was established in 1988 as a U.S.-based, private operating foundation. Annually, we allocate 75% of our funding in the Philippines and 25% in Hawai’i.
We identify partner organizations to operate programs that carry out our mission. Over the years, the Foundation has allocated over US$135 million, and we have reached hundreds of thousands of children and communities through more than 150 partners.
We place great value in fostering a nurturing and collaborative environment among our staff, partners, stakeholders, and community members.
At Consuelo, we explore new ideas and encourage creativity, while delivering programs and methods that are grounded, evidence-based, and culturally sensitive.
We partner with like-minded organizations that are committed to co-creating long lasting, meaningful impact for the children and communities we serve.
“I would like us to renew hope for those who lost it and to give hope to those who never had it.”
