Violet and Vivian Fund
About the Program
The goal of the Violet and Vivian Fund (V&V Fund) is to make a positive difference in the lives of individuals and families who have experienced or are at high risk for child abuse and neglect. The V&V Fund works with approved agencies, individual guardian ad litems and organizations that refer eligible applicants to obtain financial support when there are no other resources.
The V&V Fund was established in December 2016 by Patti Lyons, a social worker and our first President & CEO, who spent her long career working to prevent and treat child abuse and domestic violence in Hawai‘i and the Philippines. Patti named the Fund to honor two great influences in her life: her grandmother, Violet, and mother, Vivian.
The V&V Fund advisors, who review all incoming requests, include Patti, Nicole Brodie, Katie Watanabe-Bennett, Kellen Kashiwa and Tim Lyons; overall administrative support is provided by Consuelo Foundation.
