Child Abuse Protection and Intervention Network (CAPIN)
The Child Abuse Prevention Intervention Network (CAPIN) aims to create safe, child-friendly cities in cooperation with the local government unit (LGU).
CAPIN aims to achieve the following outcomes:
- LGUs provide child friendly services to ensure Child Abuse Neglect and Exploitation (CANE) prevention and response. LGUs are supported so that child protection mechanisms (i.e. child abuse case management, reporting and monitoring, and referral systems) are functional and sustainable through the development of local policies and the inclusion of CAPIN activities in the local development plan.
- Partner organizations have improved internal systems and services. With more robust internal systems and services, partner organizations can better activate local governments towards providing child- friendly services that prevent and respond to CANE.

Consuelo supports its CAPIN partner organizations through holistic capacity building—by conducting technical trainings and enhancing partner resources. Consuelo also contributes to their organizational development, facilitates knowledge transfer, and provides operational support to enhance overall program delivery, expand impact on children and communities, and ensure overall program sustainability.
