The Gabay sa Pagpapaunlad ng Pamilyang Pilipino is a Family Development Session (FDS) guidebook for the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Municipal Link and Resource Persons in their facilitation of their monthly FDS. It also serves to encourage the Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program or 4Ps beneficiaries to engage with their communities and to become more productive members of society.

The guide consists of three parts. The first part defines the foundation of the Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program. The second part describes ways to prepare and care for the Filipino family. The last part discusses the avenues for the participation of the Filipino family in community work. It is further structured into four parts: the Module, the Subject (Paksa), the summary (Pagbubuod), and its application (Pagsasabuhay).
