Consuelo Foundation Revisits Baguio
on its 25th Year

From January 24 to 26, 2013, the whole Consuelo staff went up to Baguio to kick off our 25th year with the theme, "Celebrating 25 years of partnership, innovation and inspiring hope." The three-day event began with a Thanksgiving Mass at the Chapel of CFSPI (Child and Family Service Philippines Inc.) followed by lunch at Hill Station. Consuelo Foundation CEO and President, Jon Matsuoka, and Strategy Officer of our Hawai'i headquarters, Patria Weston-Lee, joined the planning sessions and activities. Highlights included tree-planting at the Batinguel compound [of CFSPI?] and the donation of hospital equipment to the Child Protection Unit of Baguio General Hospital. These simple activities were our way of dedicating the rest of the year to honor Consuelo and look back at what her foundation has achieved through her generosity. It's also our way of honoring where Consuelo Foundation began 25 years ago: its very first project, a shelter for street children, was for CFSPI Baguio..
